A capesize newbuilding built at China's Jinhai Heavy Industry is reported to have been sold on a resale deal.
Industry sources say Berge Bulk of Singapore or China's Rizhao Steel is the buyer of the newbuilding.
They say the ship was originally ordered by Geden Line of Turkey in 2010 for around $75m.
Sale-and-purchase brokers report the 176,000-dwt Spice was sold for between $33 and $33.5m.
The price is around $2.5m lower than the value VesselsValue.com estimates on such bulker in today’s market.
