SPP Shipbuilding has bagged an order for a 52,000 dwt tanker from Pyxis Maritime.
The greek owner confirms that it has awarded an order eight months ago and the word is only now emerging.
The vessel is scheduled for delivery in mid-2013, it is understood.
Pyxis made no comment on brokers’ estimates of a $33m price tag on the order.
