Croatian shipyard Uljanik launched Algoma Innovator, a 24,900dwt bulk carrier built for Canadian shipping company Algoma Central Corporation, at 3. Maj shipyard in Rijeka on Dec. 29, 2016.

With a gross tonnage of 16,000 tons, Algoma Innovator measures 198.1 meters in length and 22 meters in width.

The Handysize bulker is the first of five self-unloading ships for the transportation of bulk cargo being built for Algoma by Uljanik.

Algoma Innovator and another 24,900dwt bulker were ordered in March and September 2015, respectively. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in July and October 2017, showed data provided by VesselsValue.
