Singapore-based dry bulk owner and operator Berge Bulk received its sixth handysize vessel Berge Rishiri from Japanese shipbuilder Namura Shipyard on Jan. 16, 2017.

The shipowner ordered the six 34,000dwt vessels from the Japanese shipyard in 2013. It intends to march into the handysize market.

Equipped with the Propeller Boss Cap Fins (PBCF), the ship is forecast to improve its efficiency.

Sailing under the flag of the Isle of Man, the newbuilding will start its maiden voyage to the Port of Longview in Washington State (USA), where it will be loaded for a log shipment before heading to China for discharge.
