Thorco's 10th Newbuilding Makes a Splash

The tenth newbuilding of the Copenhagen-based shipping company Thorco Shipping hit the water on Feb. 9 in Japan.
The new vessel, named Thorco Lohas, was built and launched by the Japanese shipbuilding company Honda Heavy Industries.
Thorco Lohas, the final general cargo vessel of the L-class built for the company, features a length of roughly 131 meters and a width of 23 meters.
According to the Danish shipowner, Thorco Lohas features technologies aimed at reducing CO2 emissions and optimizing fuel efficiency and performance.
