Singapore-based shipowner U-Ming Marine Transport has penned a contract for the construction of two 81,500dwt bulk carriers.
According to the company, the new vessels will be built by Japanese shipyard Oshima Shipbuilding.
The price tag and the particulars of the new bulkers have remained undisclosed.
The news comes only two months after U-Ming's latest fleet expansion which saw the company receive a 188,000dwt bulk carrier Cape Success, built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC).
