Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding is said to have signed up a contract to build four 39,000-dwt handysize bulkers with compatriot China Navigation Company (CNCo) on November 22.

The newbuildings, based on 'B. Delta37' design, will be delivered from 2016.

A total of 53 B. Delta37 designed bulkers have been ordered by global shipowners up to date and five Chinese shipyards are now building part of them.

Meanwhile, on October 11, Ouhua booked an order for four 39,000-dwt handysize bulkers of the same design from CNCo.

In the past, the Zhoushan-located shipyard contracted to build eight 31,000-dwt multi-purpose vessels for delivery in 2013-2014 and 22,000-dwt four multi-purpose vessels for administrative use due delivery in 2015.
