Ningbo Xinle Shipbuilding Group announced that the Chinese shipbuilder had entered into a newbuilding contract for two 19,800 dwt Duplex stainless steel chemical tankers plus two options with Arcoin of the Netherlands on November 22.

Some 70 people from shipbuilder, owner, Italian classification society, major banks and ship design firm attended at a signing ceremony held at Ningbo Sheraton Hotel.

The new chemical tanker is said to stand at the world's advanced level, applied with eco-friendly and energy-saving advanced technology and reflected with requirements of the customer.

An official at Ningbo Xinle said over the latest contract, "Our strategy execution continuing for years focused on special chemical tanker finally got a result."
