Samjin Shipbuilding Industries announced on November 22 that the China-based Korean shipbuilder had inked a newbuilding contract for two units of each 51,000 dwt and 40,000 dwt oil / chemical tanker plus four options.

The shipbuilder has continuously penned on high-value added vessels, such as MR tanker, PCTC and so on, based on high confidence of technology received from the market and its active performance is further expected henceforward.

Samjin had signed a newbuilding deal for four 6,700 ceu PCTCs with Auto Marine Transport on November 18. This contract is regarding two options attached to the 6,700 ceu eco-friendly and high-efficiency PCTCs inked in November last year.
