Japan's Onomichi Dockyard won 16 handysize bulkers in 2010. Group's Saiki Heavy Industries and Onomichi put together, have reached total orderbook of over 50 ships which secure them work till the end of 2014.
Onomichi holds 11 50,000 DWT product carriers, 14 handysize bulker, whilst Saiki secures about 30 handysize bulkers.
Onomichi, with Saiki, recorded JPY 63bn ($810m) of revenue during April 1, 2010 - March 31, 2011. Last year, Onomichi completed total nine vessels of product carrier, which include two 47K DWT and seven 50K DWT, and Saiki finished one RORO ship, three 33K DWT bulkers and three 37K DWT.
