Japan's Namura Shipbuilding is expected soon to book 34,000-dwt fuel-efficient bulker pair from Taiwanese shipowner Wisdom Marine.
The newbuilding price is estimated to be just below $23m per ship, for delivery in 2015.
The Japanese shipbuilder already contracted two 34,000-dwt bulkers with Wisdom in April this year. Another two newbuildings prospected to be signed are said to be related to options exercised.
Having signed up for four same-size newbuildings in September, 2012, if the latest deal is confirmed, Wisdom would have placed overall eight 34,000-dwt series at Namura.
Newbuilding price of those four newbuildings contracted in September is around $21m per ship on average, with delivery in H2 2014 and H1 2015.
Meanwhile, Wisdom awarded an order to build one 55,000-dwt bulker at Kawasaki Heavy Industries of Japan in April this year, for $27m.
