Greek owners are enthusiastic about ordering ore carriers considering the declining chartering rates in last year. According to Greek shipbroker, Greek owners have ordered about 12 Capesize bulkers for hauling ore cargoes, the highest level after the financial crisis.In 2012, newbuilding price has dropped to an ten-year low, and the chartering rates also slid by 99%. According to Oslo-based market research company Pareto Shipping AS, global shipowners is likely to ordered new vessel of $250.0bn by 2016 against current attractive ship price.
