Greece's Metrostar Management has reportedly signed a newbuilding contract for up to 10 medium-range product tankers at SPP Shipbuilding in Korea.
Industry sources say the order consists of six firm 51,300DWT PCs with four optional units.
The newbuildings are scheduled for delivery from the fourth quarter of 2014.
No price has been revealed but the Korean MR PC specialist won 40 MR tanker orders last year for around $1.4bn in total, calculating into $35m per ship.
