It is reported that Greek shipowner Polembors has splashed out numerous Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC) recently.
It is said that Polembros has purchased a pair of 2000-blt 299,986dwt VLCCs “Ikomasan” and “Ibukisan “ from Japanese owner MOL at a price of $29.0m apiece, slightly lower than $30.0m assessment from Vessels Value.com.
Besides, the company also purchased a 1999-blt 301,000dwt very large tanker MV Alrehab from Singaporean shipowner Samco Shipholding at a cost of $26.50m. Together with previous 2 VLCCs, the company has purchased 5 VLCC in just a few weeks.
