Frontline 2012 has cancelled the first of its VLCC newbuildings on order at Jinhai Heavy Industry in China.
The John Fredriksen's company explained the first newbuilding was cancelled due to excessive delays.
The shipyard has referred the matter to arbitration while the order has been covered by refund guarantee.
The construction of the remaining VLCCs are also said to be being delayed.
