New York-listed Canadian shipowner Seaspan is continuing to talk with China's Yangzijiang Shipbuilding on options for 10,000TEU boxships.
The shipyard had signed seven firm plus 18 optional 10,000TEU ships with the shipowner for $100m per ship last year.
Seaspan chief Gerry Wang says he will take his time but additional orders would follow sooner or later.
Yangzijiang executive chairman Ren Yuanlin says he is upbeat about finalising the options this year.
Industry sources expect the options' newbuilding price would be around $90m per vessel.
