Vamvaship Maritime of Greece is making its newbuilding debut in a deal for two handymax bulker resales.
The company confirmed it is negotiating to buy two 56,000-dwt bulkers being built at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard with deliveries set for later this year.
Brokers have attached a price of $66m en bloc to Hull Nos 6099 and 6100, which are currently controlled by Golden Bridge Asset Management of South Korea.
The bulkers are reportedly set to be named Blue Baekdu and Blue Halla by their current owner.
Vamvaship director Andreas Vamvakaris says negotiations are set to be concluded within the month.
