On this Wednesday, Jiangsu-based Jiangsu East Heave Industry (JES) signed a newbuilding contract for the construction of one “UT 755 LN” PSV with a undisclosed Norwegian client. The contract includes two optional units.
The new vessels are scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2014. It is the second PSV JES secured after the PSV order in the beginning of October from the same owner. Both the two vessels are to be delivered by 2014.
It is expected that JES is to win more PSV orders in the coming months. JES has successfully entered offshore market after 30-year construction of traditional ships.
“It is time to outreach traditional newbuilding and step into offshore sector for further development in the depressed shipping market” said Jin Xin, chairman and CEO of JES.
