China's Afai Southern Shipyard has won a newbuilding order for two high-speed ferries.
Compatriot Shenzhen Pengxing has booked the ships at the China Shipping Industry Co (CIC)-owned shipyard.
The catamaran-type ferries will be designed by Coco Yachts of the Netherlands.
They will be 40 metres long, with a top speed of 31.5 knots. Delivery is scheduled by the first quarter of 2014.
