Taipei-listed U-Ming Marine Transport said in a regulatory filing that it had purchased a 98,000-DWT bulker newbuilding from Glocal Maritime, a Hong Kong-based affiliate of Glocal Japan, for TWD 717.1m ($24.5m).
U-Ming said the vessel will be a newbuilding and would be delivered within this year.
Clarksons data shows Glocal has similar-sized bulkers on order at Tsuneishi Group (ZHOUSHAN) Shipbuilding.
