Nam Cheong Sells Two PSVs
Offshore vessels builder Nam Cheong bagged an order to sell two platform supply vessels (PSVs) worth a total of $52.1m to two new customers based in West Africa.
The two PSVs are being built as part of Nam Cheong's built-to-stock series in two of the company's subcontracted yards in China. The 3,000-dwt vessel and 5,000-dwt vessel are scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2013.
“We are excited about opportunities in West Africa, where offshore marine activities have taken off in the last decade, propelled particularly by advances in offshore technology,” said Leong Seng Keat, executive director at Malaysia-based Nam Cheong.
The latest contract win brings Singapore-listed Nam Cheong's orderbook to MYR1.19bn ($387.2m) in total contract value.
