By the end of September, CSC Jinling Shipyard has finally concluded the contract for the construction of three 39,000dwt general cargo ships and a pair of 82,000dwt bulkers with German owner Olderdorff Carriers. The cargo ships and bulkers are to be delivered from August 2014 and September 2014 separately.
Since this July, it has been rumored that Oldendorff is planning to order Ultramax or Karsamax bulkers at Chinese shipyard and is enquiring about prices, delivery and latest ship types. However, Oldendorff say it has no other newbuilding program at present.
