STX Offshore & Shipbuilding signed a contract to build one 9,000-cbm LPG carrier with Geogas on October 8, it announced.
The contract values around KRW 30bn ($27m) and an option for one vessel is included.
The newbuilding, 120m in length, 19.8m in breadth and 11.2m in height, is capable of sailing in 15.2 knots.
The LPG carrier will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2014 from STX Busan yard.
Now the Korean shipyard has booked overall 14 vessels, $900m of orders in liquefied gas carrier sector alone, year to date.
