Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers has exercised one option for aframax shuttle tanker of the two options it secured last month.
The 123,000-dwt vessel will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2013.
The newbuilding is to be chartered out to a major energy firm.
Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers has now booked three firm plus three optional shuttle tankers at the South Korean shipbuilder this year.
In April the owner contracted one plus two suezmax shuttle tankers and inked one plus two aframax ones last month.
