Kuwait Oil Tanker Co (KOTC) plans to order very large gas carriers and MR PCs as early as at the end of this year.
A KOTC spokesman said the company intends to seek offers on four MR products carriers and three VLGCs under a fourth newbuilding phase.
Earlier reports said the owner would order LNG carriers but this was proved being not the case.
Meanwhile, KOTC ordered four VLCCs and an aframax at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering and a quartet of MR tankers at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard earlier this year.
