Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering is tipped to win ConocoPhillips' LNG-FPSO (FLNG) facility together with an engineering outfit Technip.
Previously, Samsung Heavy Industries has been reported as the front-runner for the project.
ConocoPhillips is considering two sizes of LNG floaters, one is a huge unit capable of producing around 3.9 million tons per annum (mtpa) and the other is a more medium-sized unit.
The company is mulling both the membrane-type and SPB solutions.
