Singapore-based rig owner is said to be ordering a pair of jack-up drilling rigs at Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore in China.
Industry sources said the Chinese offshore faility specialist yard is about to secure a contract from Hans van Royen Drilling for the jack-up rig duo.
Meanwhile, back in April, Norwegian engineering contractor Aker Solutions has bagged an award for a complete drilling equipment package for a newbuild jack-up rig under construction at CIMC Raffles.
The contract is for a 2000E design and also includes options for another three jack-ups of the same design.
The newbuilding jack-up was signed in 2012 and is expected to be delivered in 2014.
