Norway’s Havyard Group has been awarded a PSV newbuilding contract.
The order is said to be worth NOK300m ($51m) and the vessel is expected to hit the water in the second quarter of 2014.
The shipyard will build the ship based on a second generation of its Havyard 832 design, called Havyard 832 MKII, which boasts a 20% reduction in fuel consumption compared to earlier design.
The shipowner is yet to be revealed while the contract is yet to be made effective with financing unsecured now.
