Japan's Onomichi Dockyard has won new orders for four LRⅠ products tankers this year.
It has fixed delivery schedule by the end of 2016 including ongoing newbuilding talks for MR PCs and handysize bulkers.
The shipyard, however, admitted that it accepted delaying some of already-inked vessels, requested by shipowners. It is also slowing down yard operation a bit.
Anyway, it is now holding workload for the next four years or so as it has been proactively searching for new orders since the global financial crisis in 2008.
