Two Taiwanese bulker operators, Taiwan Navigation and Sincere Navigation, plan to place new orders as newbuilding prices fall.
Taiwan Navigation is mulling over a proposal to buy 10 bulk carriers from the second half of this year, with handysize, panamax and capesize classes all under consideration, according to the company.
Taiwan Navigation said, “We have a long term goal to increase our fleet from 15 vessels to 25 vessels, however, timetable still undecided but will depend on market condition."  
Sincere Navigation is likely to order new 80,000 dwt-100,000 dwt bulkers soon.
