A pair of VLCC newbuildings ordered by Nobu Su’s Today Makes Tomorrow (TMT) are being offered for resale by South Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.
Industry players say of the two 320,100-dwt ships, Hull Nos 5328 and 5331, the first vessel, G Elephant, is believed to have been completed about a year ago. The second, H Elephant, is listed as ready for delivery this month.
TMT is understood to have contracted the vessels at around $160m each but has only paid 10% deposits on the ships. Nobu Su is said to be keener to put his cash into his floating LNG ambitions at present.
