Norwegian engineering contractor Aker Solutions has bagged an award for a complete drilling equipment package for a newbuild jack-up rig under construction at China’s Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore.
The contract, the value of which was not disclosed, is for a 2000E design unit and also includes options for another three jack-ups of the same design.
The equipment will be delivered in next year.
