Demand for LNG-FSRU is surging around the world.
Golar LNG says in its financial results announcement that over 15 FSRU projects in the world are now under operation or already decided.
Also, about over 30 projects planned afoot have come to the surface, among which seven-to-ten projects are most likely to be materialized.
With increasing demand for FSRU, orders for LNG-carrier conversion and FSRU newbuilding grow as well. A total of six newbuild vessels are on the book - Golar's one 160,000-cbm and one 170,000-cbm with due deliveries in 2013 and 2014 each, Hoegh LNG's three 170,000-cbm (one vessel to be delivered in 2013 and two in 2014) and Excelerate Energy's one 173,400-cbm.
