Daewoo to Build Wind Farm
Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering and Korea South East Power Co. (KOSEP) signed an agreement on joint development for the construction of a total of 300MW wind power complexes, at home and overseas and their operation, on February 21st.
On the same day, Daewoo, Daewoo-affiliated wind power specialized DeWind and small medium sized wind turbine tower maker SPECO have contracted to co-construct 40MW Novus II wind farm, located in Oklahoma, the US.
The three companies would build a special purpose company (SPC), by joint investment and get down to construction, targeting its commercial operation to start from the end of 2012.
KOSEP would take charge of operation and management of Novus II, DeWind of turbine supply and construction management of the farm and SPECO of tower production and transportation.
