On November 20, 2019, the naming ceremony of two 49,000 DWT chemical tankers, the most state-of-art vessels, was held by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd.

Mr. Harold, CEO of Norway Shipowner ODFJELL Group, Ms. Fan Linna, Deputy General Manager in Shipping Leasing department of Bank of Communications Financial Leasing Co., Ltd (“Bocomm Leasing”), Mr. Wang Zhijun, Deputy director of Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration, Mr. Boris, DNV GL Area Manager South China, Mr. Rong Yao, general manager of China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd and Ms. Jin Yanzi, the vice general manager and nearly hundreds of guests attended this ceremony. Weng Hongbing, assistant of the general manager presided over it.

Ms. Christine and Ms. Fan Linna, godmothers, named these two vessels as “Bow ODYSSEY” and “Bow OPTIMA” and cracked a bottle of Champagne.

As a leader in high-end marine equipment in China’s Shipbuilding industry, Chen Jun said that the construction skills of Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. Was widely praised by shipowners at home and abrad.

Mr. Harold said that the No.1 ship was delivered on August 26, and the No. 2 ship was delivered on November 1st. Those two ships contributed significantly to our shipping industry since they were launched.

The overall length of the chemical tanker is 182.88m, 32.20m in width and 11.00m in depth as well as 11.00m design draft. Furthermore, it can carry nearly one thousand kinds of chemicals and product oils. The main indicators, such as load capacity, environment, safety and fuel consumption, remained at higher levels in the world.
