On November 15, 2019, the naming ceremony of two LNG-powered RoRo ships, SIEM Confucius and SIEM Aristotle, was held by Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd.

The 7500GT RoRo is a post-Panamax vessel powered by LNG. Furthermore, it is an optimized vessel on the refit of various types of automobile ro-ro ships. Besides, it is a big step for Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. to develop vessels with good quality and high added value. This giant is 199.9m long, 38m wide and 14.8m deep and the design draft is 8.65m. With a total of 13-story car decks, it can transport 7500 standard cars. Loading and unloading the cargo are achieved via internal ramp systems to various decks. The PCTC is fitted with a single propeller and the main engine is driven by dual fuels.

It is a self-developed and designed large RoRo ship driven by dual fuels in the history of China. Looking back on the construction of two ships, the builder adopts many technologies, such as in installations of stern port and ramps as well as the preparations for the trial voyage.
