According to MIIT, Chinese shipyards delivered vessels of 76.65m dwt nationally in 2011, increasing by 16.9% year-on-year and of the total 21.41m CGT were seagoing vessels.
The combined new orders for Chinese shipyards in the year fell by 51.9% to 36.22m dwt, of which 13.05w CGT were seagoing ships.
Till the end of December, the national order catalog reached 149.91m dwt, 23.5% down against the same period of last year. 48.16m CGT of the total were seagoing ships and 83.9% were for export.
