As the low margins for Chinese shipbuilders continue, the domestic shipyards’ desire for cheaper ship equipments sees increases.
According to Chinese media, shipbuilders have continuously asked equipment supplier to lower supply price since the low-margin order fight which began in this summer, especially those private shipyards.
Meanwhile, due to the shrinking order catalog and limited new orders, some Chinese shipyards are projected to stay idle.
