Singapore-based Norr Systems has ordered two 64,000-dwt bulker newbuildings at Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding in China for delivery in 2013.
A Norr official confirms the order, saying the vessels were booked on the back of a long-term charter to Asian player.
Newbuilding brokers estimate the vessels are costing around $30m each.
Norr also has four 5,000-dwt bunker tankers on order at Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering with delivery between the second quarter of next year and the first quarter of 2013.
