Malaysia Marine & Heavy Engineering won a RM 236 million ($75.7 million) contract for work on the ExxonMobil-operated Telok Gas Development.
Investment bank Kenanga said in a research report that the deal would increase MMHE’s current order book by 8.4% to RM 3.18 billion.
Under the deal, announced on Tuesday, MMHE will procure, build, test, load out and commission two topsides and the corresponding platform jackets for the Telok A and Telok B platforms.
The platforms, weighing 1750 tonnes and 1650 tonnes respectively, will be tied back to the existing Guntong E gas platform, offshore Terengganu, in east peninsular Malaysia.
