Royal Boskalis Westminster has placed a new order at IHC Merwede for a self-propelled mega cutter.

The new vessel, a sister vessel of the Helios, will have a total installed power of 23,700 kW, a pumping capacity of 15,600 kW and a maximum cutter capacity of 7,000 kW. It will be capable of dredging hard ground at depths ranging of 6 to 35 meters.
