Chinese shipowner SITC has bought two 2,47teu container vessels, Kanaga Island and Elba Island, from US-based owner Soundview Maritime. The total transaction price is US$12.8m.
After the acquisition, SITC's fleet is approaching the 100,000 teu mark.
