Germany's Chemikalien Seetransport has sold the dirty trading LR1 tanker Athens Star to Malta-based Valloeby Shipping for a touch above US$13m. The 73,869dwt vessel was constructed in China in 2005.

According to Clarkson Research, Valloeby have been active in the market for Chinese-built product tankers of late, acquiring the ex-Norden controlled handysize Nord Thumbelina for a price above US$13.5m in September 2016.
