German ship owning and management company Ahrenkiel Steamship has sold three Panamax container vessels to an unnamed South Korean buyer, according to brokers.

The ships are the 2009-built Stadt Marburg and Stadt Corburg, and the 2010-built Stadt Freiburg.

All three vessels have the capacity to carry 4,380 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs). Each of the ships was sold for US$6m.

The three container vessels were built by Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME).
