The Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Industry Corporation handed over the 260-TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) Nasico Ocean container ship to Nam Trieu Shipping Company Ltd during a ceremony in the northern port city of Hai Phong on Friday September 23 .
The ship is 103m long, 15m wide and almost 8m high and has a top speed of 14 nautical miles per hour.
The ship was designed with double hulls, preventing water from infiltrating the ship’s cargo hold.
