Cashed up Korea Line Corp has taken a couple of product tanker resales from Capital Product Partners. The Aison and Agon, two epoxy coated 50,000dwt ships being built at Samsung Heavy Industries' yard in Ningbo, China have been bought for US$30m per unit, according to sources. The deal includes seven-year time charters on the pair at US$14,950 a day. Both ships are due for delivery next January.

Korea Line was a high profile casualty of the downturn before being bought out by local construction firm Samlas Midas Group, which has since injected it with significant funds to rejuvenate the fleet.

Korea Line's fleet currently stands at 26 ships totalling 2.69m dwt – a mix of bulkers, LNG carriers, tankers and one car carrier.
