Eurotankers has acquired a 13-year-old VLCC for US$28.3m from Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL), accoridng to brokers. The vessel is Japanese-built 303,900dwt Kaminesan.

Eurotankers has been active in the S&P markets this year, having been linked to at least two aframax acqusitions.

MOL, meanwhile, is looking at ship sales as a way to bolster its financial figures, having recently announced a lower than originally predicted forecast for the current financial year.
