Indian owner Great Eastern Shipping has announced it has signed a contract to buy a 48.539dwt medium-range product tanker.

The 2005 Japanese built vessel is expected to joint the company's fleet in the second quarter of 2017.

Great Eastern Shipping current has a fleet of 33 vessels, comprising 23 tankers and 10 dry bulk carriers.
