New York-listed tanker owner Nordic American Tankers (NAT) has taken delivery of Nordic Sirius, the third in a series of four Suezmax vessels bought this May.

NAT entered into an agreement with an undisclosed seller to acquire the four 150,000dwt tankers for a price of US$106m.

The four tankers were built at a Japanese shipyard between 2000 and 2004.

In 30 days, NAT has taken delivery of three vessels, including Nordic Castor that was delivered last week.

The fourth vessel is scheduled for delivery in mid-July this year.

Following the delivery of these four vessels, NAT's fleet will consist of 30 Suezmax tankers, including two newbuildings from Korea, scheduled for delivery in August 2016 and January 2017.
