Daesun Shipbuilding & Engineering of South Korea sealed a newbuilding contract for 1+1 1,000-teu boxship with Korea's Shipping Bank on Sep 20th.
Recently ordered vessel is known to long-term chartered by Korea Marine Transport Co., after its delivery by April 2013, with newbuilding price tag of $19.8m.
This containership will be designed with Daesuns' newly-developed energy-efficient 1,000 teu boxship.
Also, with its vessel portfolio diversification and eco-friendly ship development, Daesun focuses on sales of feeder containership, MR tanker, Handy/Supramax bulker.
